  S01233 Directs the regents of the University of the State of New York to prescribe courses of instruction relating to sensitivity training regarding diversity of race, ethnicity and religion; and directs the regents to prepare guidelines for such course of study and provide grants from funds so appropriated for such curriculum.
     
  A01585  Requires all first-term members of boards of education to attend training sessions within six months of taking office; failure of school districts to comply could result in withholding of state aid.

A02348		 Provides for mandatory initial and ongoing training for members of boards of education and boards of cooperative educational service in the areas of board operations, board skills and service, budget and finance, curriculum development and educational theory and policy, district operations, legal and employee relations, and the roles and responsibilities of component board members and boards of cooperative educational services.
     
  S01454 Enacts the “Dignity For All Students Act”; authorizes the commissioner of education to establish policies and procedures affording all students in public schools an environment free of harassment and discrimination based on actual or perceived race, national origin, ethnic group, religion, disability, sexual orientation, gender or sex; required reporting harassment and discrimination to such commission; makes exemptions.

A02812		 Provides for the establishment of a voluntary chaplaincy program for the public schools; applies to all school districts and supervisory districts; provides for chaplains to serve without compensation and for no fees to be charged by the districts; requires parental consent to refer a pupil under eighteen years of age; directs the commissioner of education to promulgate rules and regulations to implement the program.
